Helen's Pulled Pork

Introduction

Recipe from Helen at the clinic.

Ingredients

  • 4-5 lbs. pork shoulder
  • small onion
  • sprig fresh rosemary
  • 1/2 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic
  • Baby Ray barbeque sauce

Method

  1. Season pork with a little salt and pepper
  2. Put pork in crock pot with skin on, fat side up
  3. Chop garlic and onion and add with rosemary, vinegar, and crushed pepper
  4. Cook on slow 4-6 hours or until meat falls apart
  5. Cool, remove excess fat, and pull meat apart by hand
  6. Drain excess liquid from crock pot
  7. Return pork to crock pot with barbeque sauce
  8. Cook on low for 1/2 hour
