* 1 tsp. salt
* 1 c. chopped walnuts

==Method==
# Grate apples on coarse side of grater. Combine apples and sugar, let stand.
# Beat eggs slightly. Beat in oil and vanilla.
# Mix and sift flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Stir into egg mixture alternately with apple sugar mixture. Stir in walnuts.
# Pour into greased and floured oblong pan 13 x 9 x 2 inches. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven 45 minutes or until cake tests done. Let cool.
