Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup oats
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips
  • (1/3 cup chopped walnuts)
  • (1/3 cup dried cranberries)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Mix in egg and vanilla.
  4. In a medium bowl, stir flour, oats, baking soda, and salt together.
  5. Blend the dry mixture into wet ingredients.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop 2 tbsp balls of dough onto a cookie sheet.
  8. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until golden. (Usually longer--RG)
