Blonde brownies

Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 2/3 c. melted butter
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tsp., vanilla
  • 6 oz. chocolate chips
  • nuts (optional)

Method

  1. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and soda
  2. In a separate bowl, add sugar to melted butter and mix well, then blend in eggs and vanilla
  3. Stir in add dry ingredients a bit at a time
  4. Spread in ungreased 9 x 13 pan or pyrex dish
  5. Sprinkle chips on top
  6. Bake at 350° for 25--30 min.
