Ingredients
- 10 Tbsp. cold butter, cut into chunks
- 10 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 2 c. flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. onion powder
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- About 40 pecan halves
Method
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Place grated cheese in bowl, add butter, and work them together with your hands, forming a ball
- In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, dry mustard, garlic power, and onion powder
- Add flour mixture to cheese mixture and work together with hands
- Add Worcestershire sauce and work it into the batter
- Sprinkle paprika over batter and work it in
- Form into balls 1 inch in diameter
- Press pecan half firmly into the top of each ball, slightly flattening it
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, untile the bottoms are slightly brown and the tops are golden
